1. Controller
The controller for data processing on this website is Goldener Gockel GmbH, Münsterstraße 10, 88662 Überlingen, Germany, represented by its Managing Director Gabriella Meinhard (contact details see Imprint).
2. Hosting
This website is hosted on a server in Germany (Hetzner Online GmbH, Gunzenhausen). When you access the site, technically necessary data such as your IP address, date and time, user agent and the URL requested are stored briefly in server logs (legal basis: Art. 6 (1)(f) GDPR).
3. Reservation and contact form
The data you enter in the reservation or contact form (name, email, phone, date, time, number of guests, notes) is used solely to process your enquiry (Art. 6 (1)(b) GDPR). The data is stored in our database. Reservations are deleted automatically twelve months after the reservation date, contact enquiries six months after receipt. Where statutory retention obligations apply, those take precedence.
4. Sending emails
Confirmation and notification emails are sent via the service provider Resend (Resend, Inc., USA). A data processing agreement is in place with Resend.
5. Cookies
This website uses no marketing or analytics cookies. Only technically necessary cookies are used (for example for the admin login).
6. Google Maps
On the contact section we offer a map from Google Maps (Google Ireland Limited, Gordon House, Barrow Street, Dublin 4, Ireland). The map is not loaded automatically. Only when you click “Load map” is a connection to Google established, transmitting among other things your IP address; a transfer to the USA cannot be ruled out. The legal basis is your consent (Art. 6 (1)(a) GDPR), which you give by clicking. If you do not click, no data is transmitted to Google. 7. Google reviews
On the home page we show our overall rating and a selection of public reviews from our Google Business Profile (first name of the author, text, star rating, month). This information is retrieved once a day via Google's interface (Google Ireland Limited, Dublin) and stored on the server of this website. The retrieval is carried out for us by our web agency Knusperholz (Ludwigsburg, Germany) via a server hosted by Hetzner in the EU. Visiting this website does not establish any connection to Google for this purpose and no visitor data is transmitted. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in showing guest reviews (Art. 6 (1)(f) GDPR). If you no longer want your review to appear on our website, just send us a short message and we will remove it.
8. Error monitoring (Sentry)
So that we can detect and fix technical errors quickly, the server of this website reports program errors to the Sentry service (Functional Software, Inc., San Francisco, USA). The data is stored in data centres in the EU (Frankfurt). Only technical details of the error are sent, such as the page requested, the time and the part of the program affected. We do not send IP addresses, names or form contents. The legal basis is our legitimate interest in a properly working website (Art. 6 (1)(f) GDPR). Error reports are deleted after 90 days at the latest.
9. Your rights
You have the right to information (Art. 15), rectification (Art. 16), erasure (Art. 17), restriction of processing (Art. 18), data portability (Art. 20) and to object (Art. 21 GDPR), and you may lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority.
